√ Material that can not under go shearing can be processed.
√ Material having high viscosity ( PTFE, UHMHDPE ) can be processed.
√ Power consumption is low.
< DISADVANTAGES >
√ Large temperature gradient between the ram cylinder wall and the interior of the plastic bed.
The gradient may lead to degradation of the surface layer to the resin.
√ Low throughput
√ Discontinuous process.
